The President of the World Muslim Communities Council, H.E. Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Nuaimi, extends his heartfelt condolences and sympathy on the passing of Sheikh Tahir Othman Bauchi, the Supreme Leader of the Tijaniyyah Order in Nigeria, and the son of Sheikh Othman Bauchi, one of the prominent disciples of Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse Al-Kawlakhy — may Allah have mercy on them all.

The late Sheikh was one of the distinguished figures of spiritual education in West Africa. He combined knowledge with upright conduct, and was renowned for his purity of heart, wisdom, devotion to his disciples, and his commitment to spreading tranquility and love among people. His efforts had a profound impact on serving the Tijaniyyah path, both spiritually and socially, as he preserved the legacy of its great masters and renewed its message of calling to Allah with wisdom and gentle exhortation.

As the Most Merciful has chosen his pure soul after a blessed life filled with service and devotion, the World Muslim Communities Council offers its sincere condolences to his honorable family, loved ones, disciples, and to the followers of the Tijaniyyah Order in Nigeria and across Africa and the world. We pray that Allah envelops him in His vast mercy, grants him a place in His spacious gardens, rewards him for his knowledge and service, and blesses all with patience and solace.

Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
