TWMCC Mourns the Passing of Dr. Ahmed Omar Hashem

With hearts that believe in God's will and destiny, the World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC) mourns the passing of one of the great scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and a contemporary scholar, the Professor Dr. Ahmed Omar Hashem. May God have mercy on him, he devoted his blessed life to serving the Sunnah of the Messenger of God (PBUH), through teaching, authoring, and defending it. He was a beacon of knowledge, a model of moderation and balance, and a leader in spreading the values of mercy and moderation.
As TWMCC recalls the great achievements and extensive contributions of the deceased in the fields of Islamic knowledge and service to the comprehensive Islamic call, it prays to God Almighty to make his scholarly legacy beneficial to the nation in the balance of his good deeds, to bestow upon him His vast mercy and satisfaction, and to grant him a place in His vast paradise alongside the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous.
