The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC) strongly condemned the continued attacks and abuses carried out by extremists in Sweden through the burning and desecration of copies of the Holy Quran, denouncing the continued permission to carry out acts that spread hate speech and support extremism, and disrespect for religious and social values

TWMCC in its statement rejected the use of freedom of expression as justification for such heinous acts that aim to destabilise security and stability and contradict human and moral values and principles, noting that hate speech and extremism contradict efforts to spread the values of tolerance, coexistence, and peace among people
