HE Dr. Mohamed Bechari, Secretary-General of The World Muslim Communities Council, said that dialogue in our contemporary world has become urgent at all levels. We live in an era dominated by self-interests and complicated problems on political, economic, social, and religious levels.

HE added during the 31st International Conference of the Supreme Council For Islamic Affairs entitled 'Dialogue of Civilizations Instead of Clash of Cultures' that dialogue has become an inevitable matter, but rather a key necessity, not as an utmost, but to search for solutions to these raised problems and other temptations.

Secretary-General of The World Muslim Communities Council explained that the religious phenomenon and its various uses top this list since religion deeply influences people's souls and its men enjoy great prestige among believers.

HE pointed out that most western thinkers describe their civilization as Christian; just as Muslims describing their civilization as Islamic, which means that religious dialogue cannot be isolated from other forms of dialogue.
