Mr. Thapelo Amad: Scholars are Heirs of Prophets, We Aims to Spread Tolerance of Islam*

The World Muslim Communities Council organized a virtual lecture Thursday, April 7, 2022, among the "Achievers and Contributors" series, in which Mr. Thapelo Amad, Member of Mayoral Committee for Development Planning in the City of Johannesburg, South Africa, spoke via the council's social media pages. 


 Mr. Thapelo Ahmed, Member of Mayoral Committee for Development Planning in the City of Johannesburg, South Africa, said that a person's relationship with Allah reflects his relationship with people, an idea he seeks to implement politics as he is keen to have a good relationship with everyone.



 Thapelo added that he was born to Muslim parents, pointing to his suffering due to the lack of halal food in South Africa, explaining that his wife used to ask him many questions about Islam and the life of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, which made them get to know Islam.


 A member of the Member of Mayoral Committee for Development Planning in the City of Johannesburg, South Africa, emphasized that the Prophet Mohamed commanded us to accept the gift of Allah from children, male or female, especially since the Arabs in the past used to bury the female newborn.


 Thapelo indicated that he seeks to change the idea that the mosque is a source of noise.


 He added that scholars are hire the prophets, so they must spread the concept of tolerance of the Islam, familiarize everyone with the principles of religion, and confront anyone who tries to marginalize the role of Islam and Muslims.


 Thapelo explained that in order to achieve this, he launched a campaign last year by distributing laptops to students to help them in distance learning, which began to be applied after the Corona pandemic so that Muslims have an active role in this global crisis.


 It is noteworthy that The World Muslim Communities Council is an international non-governmental organization, headquartered in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi. It is considered a think tank to rationalize organizations and societies working in Muslim societies, renew their thinking and improve their performance in order to achieve one goal; The integration of Muslim societies in their countries, in a way that their members realize the perfection of citizenship and complete affiliation with the Islamic religion. The council seeks, through holding dozens of virtual conferences, seminars and activities, to localize the concepts of religious, ethnic and cultural pluralism, in a manner that preserves human dignity and respect for his beliefs, and establishes the values ​​of moderation, dialogue, tolerance and belonging to the homelands.
