TWMCC Chairman Meets the Chairperson of the Muhammadiyah Association for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs in Jakarta

HE Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC), met with His Eminence Dr Syafiq A. Mughni, Chairperson of the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Association in Indonesia for International Relations and Cooperation, at the association's headquarters in the capital, Jakarta.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between TWMCC and the Muhammadiyah Association, particularly in promoting the values of moderation and coexistence, supporting the role of religious and educational institutions in building community awareness, and countering extremist discourse and hate speech.
HE Dr Ali Al Nuaimi praised the Indonesian experience in pluralism and coexistence, emphasizing that Indonesia presents an important model for combining Islamic identity with openness to cultural and religious diversity, thereby strengthening the values of citizenship and tolerance.
HE also commended the prominent role of the Muhammadiyah Association in the fields of education, social work, and community service, reaffirming TWMCC's keenness to strengthen partnerships with major Islamic institutions that possess an influential community and intellectual presence.
For his part, His Eminence Dr Syafiq A. Mughni welcomed the visit of HE Dr Ali Al Nuaimi, stressing the importance of enhancing communication between Islamic institutions and exchanging expertise to build a contemporary religious discourse that serves Muslim societies and contributes to building bridges of dialogue and understanding.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides underscored the importance of continued coordination and exploring future areas of cooperation to support the presence of moderate Islamic discourse and promote the values of coexistence and cooperation among societies and cultures.
