TWMCC Issues a Circular to Islamic Institutions and Mosques in Muslim Community Countries to Pray for the Protection of Nations During the Final Days of Ramadan

  • 2026-Mar-24

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.

As the blessed final ten days of Ramadan unfold, a time when faith deepens and hearts turn sincerely to supplication, some Muslim countries are facing sensitive circumstances and painful developments that have impacted public safety and national stability.

Several nations in the Arabian Gulf, along with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, have recently experienced military escalations affecting their territories and airspace. These incidents have led to widespread concern among citizens and residents and have resulted in tragic losses, including innocent civilians and peaceful residents living under protection in those countries.

In times of hardship, the Muslim Community has historically united in prayer, turning to Allah for protection and mercy. The security and stability of nations are among the greatest blessings that must be preserved. Islamic scholarship has long emphasized that safeguarding lives and defending homelands are among the highest objectives of Sharia, and that maintaining public security is a fundamental human interest.

In this spirit, the Council calls upon Islamic institutions, cultural centres, and mosques across Muslim communities worldwide to dedicate these sacred nights to collective and sincere supplication. Prayers should seek divine protection for Muslim lands, an end to acts of aggression, the prevention of injustice, and the restoration of peace and reassurance in affected societies.

The recent attacks and escalation in parts of the Arab and Muslim world, along with the fear inflicted upon civilians, underscore the importance of standing in solidarity with impacted populations. They also highlight the need to promote wisdom, justice, and restraint, and to affirm that the sovereignty, security, and stability of nations must be respected and preserved.

Islam upholds the sanctity of human life and the importance of honoring agreements. Those living in Muslim countries under protection or lawful residence are entitled to safety and dignity. Any act that endangers civilians, whether citizens or residents, constitutes a violation of these fundamental principles, as well as a breach of international norms.

These blessed nights offer an opportunity to seek Allah’s protection from conflict and instability, to ask for peace and safety for all communities, and to reaffirm that violence against civilians does not lead to strength or victory, but rather fuels unrest and division.

Accordingly, imams, preachers, scholars, and leaders of Islamic centers are encouraged to use this period to promote sincere prayer for the affected nations. Supplications, sermons, and religious gatherings should include prayers for the protection of the Gulf countries, Jordan, and all Muslim lands, and for guidance toward wisdom, justice, and peaceful resolution.

The Council also emphasizes that the message conveyed by mosques and Islamic institutions should reflect the values of peace and justice, reinforcing that harmony is the foundation of relations among peoples, and that Islam rejects aggression and the intimidation of innocent individuals, while upholding human dignity as a core principle.

We pray that Allah protects Muslim nations, grants mercy to innocent victims, restores peace and stability, and makes these blessed days a time for relief, healing, and renewed security.

Allah is the source of all success.
