TWMCC Mourns the Moroccan Scholar Sheikh Abdelhadi Hamito, One of the Leading Figures in the Service of the Holy Qur’an

HE Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC), mourns with deep sorrow the passing of the distinguished Moroccan scholar, Sheikh Abdelhadi Hamito, one of the prominent figures dedicated to the service of the Holy Qur’an, its sciences, and its recitations. He passed away after a blessed life rich with scholarly and educational contributions.
The late scholar was among those who devoted their lives to serving the Book of Allah through teaching, instruction, and the transmission of Qur’anic recitations. He contributed sincerely to spreading the sciences of the Qur’an and its recitations and to strengthening the traditions of the distinguished Moroccan school in this noble field. His students and admirers knew him as a humble and devout scholar who combined profound knowledge with noble character. He was a leading authority in Qur’anic recitation, a source of guidance for students of knowledge, and a teacher to generations of reciters and researchers in Qur’anic sciences.
The passing of Sheikh Abdelhadi Hamito is a loss to the scholarly and Qur’anic community in Morocco and across the Muslim world, given the lasting legacy he leaves in serving the Holy Qur’an and educating generations to revere and honor it.
The World Muslim Communities Council extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to his esteemed family, to scholars, reciters, and students of knowledge in the Kingdom of Morocco, and to all those who knew him and benefited from his scholarship. We pray to Allah Almighty to envelop him in His vast mercy, grant him a place in His spacious Paradise, reward him abundantly for his service to the Holy Qur’an, and grant patience and solace to his family and loved ones.
Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
