TWMCC Chairman Meets Head of Episcopal Commission for Ecumenism of Croatian Bishops’ Conference in Zagreb

HE Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC), met with Monsignor Vjekoslav Huzjak, Bishop of Bjelovar–Križevci Secretary General of the Episcopal Commission for Ecumenism of the Croatian Bishops’ Conference, at the Episcopal headquarters in the Croatian capital, Zagreb.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of interfaith dialogue and mutual understanding, exchange expertise in supporting social coexistence, and promote the values of mutual respect. The two sides also reviewed joint cultural and educational initiatives aimed at strengthening bridges of trust between communities.

Dr Al Nuaimi underscored the importance of building on shared ground between religious institutions in a manner that serves social peace and protects societies from hate speech and extremism. He emphasized that effective institutional dialogue should be translated into practical programs and initiatives.
For his part, Monsignor Vjekoslav Huzjak welcomed the visit and highlighted the importance of partnership between religious leaders and institutions in fostering a culture of openness and cooperation in service of humanity, particularly in multicultural environments.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue coordination and activate avenues of cooperation to support the values of understanding, moderation, and closer ties between communities. The meeting was attended by Mufti Dr Aziz ef. Hasanović, Head of the Islamic Community in Croatia.
