TWMCC Chairman Meets Leaders of Ningxia Province, Affirms Depth of Islamic–Chinese Relations

HE Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC), met with HE Li Yifei, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of the People’s Congress of China and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Regional People’s Congress in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, on the sidelines of the 7th China–Arab States Expo held in Yinchuan.


During the meeting, HE Dr Ali Al Nuaimi underlined the important role China plays in managing cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity, stressing that it serves as a model to be emulated in many parts of the world.


He added that relations between China and the Islamic world are built on mutual respect and shared learning, pointing to the global need for wise and responsible leadership to safeguard stability in ways that benefit all parties.




HE emphasised that Islam is a religion of coexistence and peace, firmly rejecting any attempts to hijack or exploit it to threaten others.


For his part, HE Li Yifei expressed the leadership’s pleasure at hosting the TWMCC delegation, stressing the importance of such visits in building bridges of communication and ongoing dialogue between China and the Arab world. He also highlighted the historic relationship between the two sides, which extends for more than a thousand years.


The meeting was also attended from the Chinese side by Lei Dongsheng, Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary-General of the Party Committee in Ningxia; Nuo Qingli, Member of the Standing Committee, Director-General of the United Front Work Department, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Party Leadership Committee; and Bai Shangcheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Regional People’s Congres of China.
