TWMCC Chairman Receives a Chinese Delegation Representing the Ethnic Affairs Committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Region

The World Muslim Communities Council (TWMCC) Chairman, H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, met with a Chinese delegation representing Xinjiang Uyghur Region's Ethnic Affairs Committee. The delegation was led by H.E. Abdureqip Tumulniyaz, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Committee and President of the Islamic Association of the Region. The meeting, held at the TWMCC headquarters in Abu Dhabi, UAE, was also attended by H.E. Zhang Yiming, China's Ambassador to Abu Dhabi.



Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation across various fields relevant to Muslim communities. Combating hate speech and extremism was a key topic, with both sides emphasizing the importance of values such as respect for the rule of law, responsible citizenship, and integration. The meeting also highlighted the importance of religious, ethnic, and cultural pluralism in fostering global cooperation and solidarity.



Both parties explored ways to develop scientific, academic, economic, and rehabilitation programs to counter extremist ideologies and hate speech. These programs would be tailored to the specific circumstances of Muslim communities within their respective countries. The discussions aimed to enhance the positive contributions of Muslims around the world.
